About Watiworks

Watiworks was born in 2002 as a birthday present – my husband bought me the URL. I learned Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Fireworks, Flash & ActionScript, Dreamweaver, and Final Cut Pro. I disovered that graphic design is my strongest interest and started developing desktop icons after Apple’s first MAC OS X was introduced.

My work took me through a Masters degree in Electronic Media at Oxford Brookes University, where I studied concepts of UI design, UX design and learned about the creative process, a bit more programming, and a lot about multimedia. The website also made me some pocket money before gradually turning into a small business.

For the past six years, that business has been on hold while I began the life-time challenge of bringing up two wonderful little boys.

Now, Watiworks is back. I’m gradually putting my old portfolio back together. Most of the icons sets are now out of date and only available in low resolutions, so they’ll be available for free.

I genuinely welcome feedback and comments and I will soon be open for new graphic design projects, so feel free to get in touch: wati@watiworks.com

(This site is currently under re-construction as I rearrange my portfolio – the current theme and design are too sluggish, sorry. I’ll be improving it in coming weeks. Please check back regularly.)
